It has always been the aim of the Club to encourage and develop the football abilities of the youths and young kids in Fife. That being said, Auchtermuchty Bellvue Colts wouldn’t be where we are today without the generosity of our sponsors. When the club were formed it was the backing of the sponsors who enabled the club to kit out the teams and acquire the equipment which we use every week. As part of a regular series of website articles, we will hear from our sponsors and why they got involved.

This week we spoke to Colin Maidment the owner of Anco. Anco are our main kit sponsor for all of our age groups.

Hi Colin, great to speak with you. Tell us a bit about Anco
Anco are a family-owned company based in Scotland who have over 30 years’ experience in the pet industry. We specialise in 100% natural dog treats. All our raw materials are from ethical sources and we individually inspect our factories and production plants. Our ranges keep things pure and simple by letting mother nature do all the work. We hand source the finest ingredients and gently air dry or cold press to preserve as many natural vitamins and nutrients as possible.

So why did you get involved with Bellvue Colts?
As a local business it’s important to us that we support local causes and with my god son Archie Tavener playing a big part in ABC it was a perfect opportunity to get involved.
Now that we are back on the pitch, do you manage to get along to see the Colts?
Unfortunately, not at the moment. Anco is keeping me very busy at the weekends, which is great, but I always keep updated with what is going on through the Colts Facebook page and website.

Is there any advice you would like to give the players for the season ahead?
Yes, I’d tell the players to listen to the coaches and not the pundits!!

Wise advice Colin. How would you like to see the Club develop in the years ahead?
Grassroots football is the lifeblood of the game, I applaud ABC for their youth football program, keep up the fantastic work.
