Muchty welcomed Hearts of Beath to Low Road Park on Saturday, any overnight rain had cleared and the sun was out bringing a muggy damp start to proceedings.
Muchty started and quickly probed the Hearts of beath defence and things were looking up , but Hearts of Beath had other ideas and in there first attack on the Colts goal, a fine move had the ball nestling in the Muchty net and worse was to follow with every Hearts of Beath attack providing menace on the Colts goal , 2 more goals would find the Muchty net, Colts did stabilise the match through better defending and shape but would lose another just before half time .
The second half kicked off with end to end football and it would be Hearts of Beath who would add another 2 fine worked goals to their collection . Muchty then rolled up there sleeves and slowly started edging there way back into it with countless attacks on the Hearts of Beath goal , and after a foul on the edge of the box it was free kick Colts. Up stepped the ever improving Keegan Passmore with a wonderful shot which the keeper although got a hand to it couldn't prevent it reaching the net , the newly invigorated Keegan then had 2 more shots and only the keeper and great defending from Hearts of Beath prevented Keegan from adding to his tally.
Muchty were now playing with hunger that was absent in the first half and a neat and flowing move from Muchty sent Conner Simpson clear with a one on one on the keeper and Conner finished with a low shot to the keepers right .
Muchty pressed and probed for more goals but the clock was now the enemy but it was a valiant and better second half and if Muchty had started better the score line may have read different.
Keegan Passmore x1
Conner Simpson x1
