Bayview Stadium plays host to young Colts

MD13 2012s Blue v East Fife Gold

Auchtermuchty Bellevue Colts Blue travelled to Bayview stadium on the back of a fine run of form with confidence oozing through the players, upon arrival at the stadium you would have thought it was mid September rather than almost mid November with the sun shining and only a slight dampness on the astro so all in all perfect playing conditions.

The match got underway and to be honest it was end to end football from the off however there was a nervousness about Muchty as they sat too deep and would pay the price for not clearing their lines with a fine worked goal from East Fife and at this present moment looked the more likely to add to their tally .

Muchty started coming more into the match and it would be Conner Simpson that would score with a great up and under shot which out foxed the East Fife keeper . Muchty were playing well at this stage but another sting in the tail would see East Fife regain the lead and with half time approaching it looked like Muchty would trail at halt time but a wicked shot from Murdo Urquhart was parried by the keeper only to fall to Conner Simpson and with a neat finish would level the scores right on half time.

The second half started at a decent pace and with East Fife probing the Muchty defence to try and regain the lead but on the break a cracking lob from Rhys Hutton sent Murdo Urquhart through to give Muchty the lead for the first time in the match .

The game flowed from end to end with Harry Meekison pulling off some great saves and likewise the East Fife keeper . Muchty would add another to give them that 2 goal cushion and it would be Finn Tully who hit a lovely left foot finish after some neat interlink play with fellow forward Keegan Passmore and to Finn Tullys credit it was 2 goals in 2 matches , Muchty pressed for more with Finn Tully having another shot and Keegan Passmore also just failing to connect to another pass along the goal mouth however Conner Simpson would round off the goal scoring with his hat trick with an absolute superb finish into the corner of net to the keepers left .

A fine performance and team effort all round with Kalib Sim all over the park keeping things tidy , Ross Wilson with his defencesive know how , Harry Meekison the keeper with some fine saves and handling , Murdo Urquhart the work horse , Conner Simpson that instinct for scoring , Rhys Hutton another work horse and the ever improving Finn Tully and Keegan Passmore who are now forming a deadly duo up front , Kaydey was unfortunate to miss the match as she was unwell but has fitted well into team .

The little work horse of Ruaridh Mackenzie who week in and week out who covers so much grass and today unlucky not to be on the score sheet . A good match to watch and a great advert for junior football with the parents in the stand served a real treat.
