In what was to be a fine morning with dry conditions overhead but still soft conditions underfoot , Muchty travelled to Overstenton Park Glenrothes for their much anticipated tie with Glenrothes Strollers Black.

The game started at a decent pace with end to end football but still no break through for either team however Strollers were putting some fine passing moves together and it would be no surprise that they took the lead.

Muchty tried to gain control of the match but were thwarted by some fine interlink play by Strollers and it was Strollers that would add to their lead with another fine goal , Muchty were caught again on the break when another great Strollers move would result in another finely worked move .

Muchty pressed and regained there feet with some good football and managed to pull one back from the industrious Kalib Sim in what was to be a cleverly worked goal. Muchty were now enjoying their best spell of the match with shots from Conner Simpson, Finn Tully and Ruaridh Mackenzie. It would be Ruaridh Mackenzie who would reduce the deficite to one with a great move which involved a neat pass from Finn Tully which fell to Ruaridh Mackenzie who coolly slotted home from a few yards. Game on, Muchty pressed and harried the Strollers defence in search for their much deserved equaliser just before half time but in a neat breakaway from Strollers they added another to increase their lead.

The second half started with Strollers trying to find more goals to add to their tally but Muchty held firm and weathered the storm and again came back into it with shots from Kalib Sim, Conner Simpson and Keegan Passmore but the Strollers goal keeper was giving nothing away.

At the other end Coner Drugan was doing a fine job keeping Strollers out with his fine saves and also the defensive partnership of Harry Meekison and Ross Wilson were also stepping up to the plate. The final goal would come from Strollers and again it was a well orchestrated move which rumbled the well drilled Muchty defense to coolly slot past the despairing hands of Coner Drugan.

A great game to watch from coaches and spectators alike with end to end football and some exciting battles from all areas of the pitch and in my opinion a great advert for junior football, well done everyone from Auchtermuchty and Strollers for serving up a cracker .
